RIF Update January 6, 2021

Today Guild Leadership had a full day meeting with pharmacy management in an attempt to complete the RIF process discussions.

By volunteering to take job openings, reduce your hours or take severance, Guild members have collectively managed to reduce the projected impact of the RIF. There are 14 full-time pharmacists remaining on the “impacted list”. We anticipate these pharmacists will receive formal RIF notification by the end of January. In the end, this will result in additional bumping that will likely affect more than just the 14 pharmacists.

The Guild will hold an informational meeting in the near future once details are finalized.

We’re in this together. Keep supporting each other. Continue to reach out to us with your questions and concerns.

On a happier note, by this Friday every pharmacist should have received their vaccine scheduling invitation. If you do not receive your notification by end of day Friday 1/8, alert your manager.
